Bethany
We have the best kids!
Bethany spent an hour shoveling snow from our entire driveway and the sidewalks. At dinner I told her we'd give her $5. She refused to take it! When I asked why she said, "Save it for the adoption."
You're right - you do have the best children, but...it's because they were raised by wonderful parents who taught them what it meant to be Christ-like. Your new children are so lucky!
I know that both Bethany and Kailey are going to be wonderful, helpful, caring big sisters! Your hearts are with your parents, and God is going to use you as you are involved in this whole adoption process. I am proud of both of you, and love you dearly!

Now that's a girl that knows compassion already. What a sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteI'm following your journey. We're in the wait mode ourselves.
It's that whole what kids learn from their parents thing. Too cool!
ReplyDeleteNow--can she come down here and dig us out from the blizzard? Would be happy to give her the $5.00 Smile.
Great story and a glimse of her good heart.
